Listen- Didi has lost her mind since Dill was born. Her toddler AND her new born went missing, her husband is an inventor who keeps destroying parts of the house, she lost her kids AGAIN in Paris- Didi has reached a fuck it point. The kids are alive and they have candy, that’s a win for her.
Guys, you are missing out on this! This happened, in a kids show, and everyone still accepted it. Nobody made a big deal out of it! This is great.

Yeah what really makes this significant imo is that Mr Ratburn is a character who’s been on the show since the very beginning.
Whenever we see these kind of things they usually bring in a cousin or aunt/uncle for one episode only and then never be seen again or if they do they don’t have any lines because they were voiced by a celebrity.
This is their teacher and the kids watching know him and have known him for a long time! I know him from when I watched this show as a kid!
